The Mygoma

The Mygoma is one of the largest orphanages in Sudan and caters to children from birth up to 18.  These children have either been orphaned entirely or abandoned on the streets of Khartoum.  A large proportion of the children who reside in the Mygoma suffer from poverty, and it is well known for the scarcity of supplies and the sheer number of children that are looked after by a small but dedicated workforce.  Unfortunately, despite their efforts, it is widely recognized the severe impact that such poor conditions can have on a child’s upbringing and their future physical and mental well-being.
